Media Release: 2019 EPT Football Skills Showcase

The 5th Annual EPT Football Skills Showcase Coming to Irmo High School in May
Greenville, SC: Elite Position Training (EPT), a 501(c)(3) company, presents the 2019 Football Skills Showcase for the best high school and middle school (New for 2019) QB, WR, RB, OL, DL, LB, and DB talent in South Carolina and beyond.  Elite Position Training, founded by Ramon Robinson, and assisted in coaching by Vice President Bobby McGowens, Director of Player Personnel ChaChi Sullivan, and Director of Scouting Rashaad Jackson, train and create opportunities for this talent to be showcased nationally, assisting student athletes in obtaining college athletic scholarships.  The South Carolina Football Hall of Fame (SCFHOF), a 501(c)(3) organization out of Greenville whose mission is to honor the state of South Carolina football’s legends while being a catalyst for youth, community and workforce development is also working with EPT to provide additional support for the third time at this event.
The  Showcase will be held May 17th and 18th in Columbia, SC at Irmo High School. High School attendees will showcase their talents under the lights on May 17th from 5:30 pm-10pm and middle school participants will get their opportunity on the morning of May 18th from 10am-4pm.  Adidas Dri-Fit jerseys will be provided, and each participant are required to wear their school logoed practice shorts as a way to promote their school and help in identifying the participants hometown. Each showcase day will include event registration, followed by a slideshow with the history of the Showcase, an Academic Q&A session with an NCAA counselor, a special guest speaker for all athletic participants. ​This showcase will focus on positional instruction by coaches, 1 on 1 drills, and 7 on 7 sessions.  Coaches will be former collegiate and professional football players that will take your talent to the next level. There will be Top 10 Finishers recognized at each position, one MVP recognized at each position, and their will be a camp offensive and defensive MVP recognized as well.  Freddie Brown of the Carolina Bowl and FBU will be attendance to handle the awards for the middle school participants.
There will be plenty of opportunities to gain exposure, as various coaches, and sports writers from locations throughout the country will be in attendance. The event is open though there will be specific Invites sent out.  Pre-registration for the showcase will begin April 4th.  Specific pre-registration information will be released at that time. Athletes at each position have until the end of April to secure your spot. If not pre-registered by May 1, your slot will be given to the next player on the waiting list. Final registration will end May 14th. Non-refundable pre-registration cost is $85.00, day of registration will be $100.00.
This year’s showcase will feature coaches from the FCS Division I, Division II, Division III and junior college levels. Lee Chambers will be the Director of College Relations and the point of contact for colleges interested in attending. His number is (864) 221-4955. Last year, the Showcase had 10 colleges in attendance, and so far over 40 have been invited. Keep an eye on EPT’s social media up as commitments of players and colleges in attendance roll through. High School coaches are welcome and encouraged to attend.  Student athletes will be required to bring a copy of their high school transcript to assess core GPA and, if available, NCAA Clearinghouse Eligibility number and a standardized test scores.
The EPT Football Skills Showcase features the best of the best in football with 200 plus athletes (featuring select 7th through 12th graders) personally invited to showcase themselves in front of the top recruiting groups and colleges in the nation. The showcase began in 2015, held at Spartanburg High with 120 athletes. Of those 120 athletes, 23 have since gone on to play college football. In the four years of the showcase, nearly 600 athletes have participated, with over 100 of them so far have gone on to schools all over the state and country.In the four years of the showcase, nearly 600 athletes have participated, with over 100 of them having gone on to schools all over the state and country.  The exposure of the showcase allows players to get recognized by colleges and  recruiting services such as Rivals, 247Sports, Scout, XOS, QBHitList, Under the Radar, CUTigers.com, TheBigSpur, GamecockCentral.com, High School Blitz,  and Sports Talk.  As seen in these former participants just to name a few:
